Semi-Skilled HGV Mechanic – Worsley – Permanent Role – Time served mechanics accepted

Salary: £16-£18 per hour (depending on experience) Overtime is available and paid at a time and a half after your shift or on Saturday between 0800 and 1200.

Shift:

• Monday to Friday
• 22:00-07:00
• 30 minute break (unpaid)

Example OTE (based on £18ph & working x2 Saturdays per month, 8am-12am, paid at time and a half): £42,372

Silver Arrow are currently recruiting for a Semi-Skilled HGV Mechanic to work for our client based in Worsley on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leading company, with excellent working conditions and benefits.

Your Role:

• Interpret instructions from the job card/repair order and comply with repair instructions
• Performing non-diagnostic tasks
• Accurately report and record work done and tests carried out, including immediately reporting any further work required or vehicle faults
• Maintain allocated work areas in a clean and tidy condition
• Provide information, maintain records and carry out all duties in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.
• Abide with good health and safety practices and all statutory requirements, including company policies

What we need from you:

• 3+ years’ experience in HGV mechanics
• Workshop/dealership experience is essential.
• Experience working with HGVs
• You will need to have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and great communication skills.
• Full Clean Driving Licence
